Hmm. This kind of disappointed me. Like others have said, i too would have much rather seen a 70D or 7D Mark II, something to reassure me sticking with the Canon brand.
It just seems like they recycle the same seemingly ancient technology in every new device.
So, I need some advice.
I have a T3/1100D. I bought it December of last year. It is my first DSLR. I had no idea what to look for in a DSLR when i bought it, but i do like the picture i can get out of it. It was $420 for the 18-55 IS II kit. Later on i bought a Sigma 50-200mm HSM OS for $150 and a 50/1.8 for $90. Needless to say i have outgrown its basic features and im itching for a new body and new glass.
Should i hope pray that maybe Canon will pull it together for the 70D or 7D Mark II soon and buy some good glass. Or jump ship with a D5100 or D7000? Both are pretty cheap now.
Also since the T3 is such a basic DSLR my mom said she'll be glad to have it.
