    Sure

  • Exactly. In many cases, a good chunk of submissions seem to be competing for last position. With the experiments I've run, I concluded it's pointless to continue experimenting. I'll join you with ...
  • It is obvious I am not the only host who's frustrated, for good reason. It is also obvious that other hosts such as yourself, and many others I'm sure, have to deal with submissions that are ...
  • Do hands? Arguable. If it is problematic to the entrant to accept what the host intends for the challenge, I think the best course of action is to not enter. I try to enter every challenge. I ...

"Submit an image that captures the trance / ritual of having coffee"

    Information content:
    (0) Submit an image that captures: pretty much the objective of every challenge.
    OF: (1) the trance /...

The easy answer is seascapes. Theme leaves it open to further creativity. Maybe ideas I haven't personally thought of. Those with such ideas can share their creativity here.

  • I went into Windows' Resource Monitor's CPU tab. Selected/ticked 'Lightroom' in Processes list. I perform actions in LR. Only one CPU shows LR is using it, up to 100%. Doesn't seem LR uses multiple ...

    My response (no sarcasm):
I thought the keywords 'trance', 'ritual', 'candid', 'staged' would indicate a person has to be in the image. To me, a cup of coffee alone doesn't convey trance. I...

  • If you do complain about any image, up to and including all in the challenge, I will DQ them.
  • it was by user LeeBic. Complaint: background was not blown out it was PP'd out When I did that as a host in still life hdr, I received lots of whining along the lines of 'if my entry is DQ'd this ...
  • LR5 on my machine utilizes one CPU (core) to 100% seconds at a time, while the other CPUs are essentially idle. So this means LR6 will not use multiple CPUs?
  • LR6 is supposed to have performance improvements. Is using more than one CPU one of them?
  • Thanks for voicing your thoughts. I'd certainly like to see proof to that effect.I'll continue to experiment in my challenges to see how it affects entrants.Thanks.
