Building a survey requires at least some skill.

Sad.
Canon is (probably) able to do it.
Why don't they offer this to everybody ?

Agree with AlexeyD.
I won't buy a new car to present to every new car beauty contest :-)
But if I sell the car, it is not mine anymore. Here, the author doesn't sell you a product. He does present his photo at his own risks.

BTW, When I see this shot on the black background (slideshow), I am not blinded by the white, and I think that the focus is on the shoulder, not on the face. Is it only me?
