Dave,
I enjoyed it. I haven't spent much time using video so it was very interesting to see the quality that can be obtained.

Yes, it's marvelous.

Jere,
For me there's color, contrast, vignetting and distortion. Resistance to flaring is also very important. I tend to judge lenses in terms of whether their overall rendering is pleasing....

...get a camera that works for you. Don't waste your time fussing about a scoring variance that is statistically indeterminate.
The E-M5 and the GH3 almost identical in IQ.

RTF,
Although I know you are concerned about weight take a look at the Olympus 75mm f1.8. If it's not too heavy, in my estimation it is reason alone to buy a µ4/3 camera.
Another lens to think...
-
RTF,
I haven't done any 16 X 20 prints from the E-M5. I've printed significant crops on 11 X 14 and 8 X 10 and they have been fine.
The E-M5 falls behind in low light high iso work relative to the...
-
RTF,
Go and look at the output from the E-M5 and the DH3. I doubt most customers can tell the difference.
As silly as this sounds, the big Nikon or Canon camera does buy you some credibility with...
-
RFT,
I'm a long time Nikon user who has been using D3 / D3s cameras. I decided I needed a light weight solution for a walk around camera. Initially I bought a Panasonic DMC-GX1; it was a camera I...

Indeed the D800 image is better. Everybody will have to decide for themselves whether or not it is better enough (and in what applications).
Thanks for sharing these images. It was interesting to...

...and I still like it.
Seems like a pretty decent review, consistent with real world shooting experience. I don't necessarily agree, that you have to stop down to f/4 to get decent...

eliehbk,
Kind of a wooley question to which I shall provide a wooley answer. I also hope I don't get flamed too badly for expressing personal opinions (but i won't loose sleep regardless) ;)...

Watcher 1,
I think that µ4/3 is a great tool that I'm absolutely enthusiastic about. I really like it for many applications. Having said that, I'm not going give up my Full Frame gear anytime...

Miquel,I have all three of the subject lenses. It is my opinion that the Oly 17mm f1.8 lens is a very good option between the 12 and the 25. It is my view that the 12mm is good for...

I really like the rendering of this lens. Great to see a real world review that reflects it's capability. Thanks for the link.Regards,Brent

Just wow. Nice photos of a beautiful place.

I like this set. I especially like the last one, it defies the classic rules of composition and still work very well.As you no doubt realize, one has to be careful about how they post process...
-
It's a cool photo in some regards. I like the B&W for instance... Composition is pretty decent. Not sure why I should care about it as a viewer? What are you trying so show me? What feeling are you...

Agree, by elimination not a lot of other stronger candidates...Regards,Brent

It sounds like you know what you're doing and that you're doing everything right???I would think about two themes:- is the tripod vibrating or moving? If it's on solid ground and there was no wind...
-
Well here's some ideas:- poor quality tripod that isn't holding the camera completely stable (especially in a wind?)- auto iso left on and shooting with too high of an iso.- too small of aperture,...
