If price diference is 140, and you need to keep it for at least 3 years, I would say that the d7100 is the better buy. And I´m a happy d7k owner!

It might have to do with a camera that had a base ISO of 200, and a "boosted ISO100".
At base ISO, the camera has the greatest dynamic range, and for many cameras that´s ISO100. But there are many...

Seems like Samsung is coming out with an "S4 Zoom", which is the new Galaxy S4 built in a 16MP P&S camera. It has optical zoom and everything.

The lens will still be a 150-500mm, but since your d5200 is a "crop camera" (DX) with a ratio of 1.5 to FX, you will get a 35mm equivalent of 225mm-750mm.

On top of what everybody said.... if you are shooting a white wall (sheet of paper, etc....), that´s when you are going have more visible vignetting. On a "normal" kind of shooting, it will be...

If something is wrong... aperture blades stuck closed is what most are saying, and I agree. But I have to ask the "stupid" question!! Is your battery charged? Is the battery working fine?
-
It´s not your 600D that allows that. Aperture is a function of the lens. And unless you are shooting macro, I don´t really see the point of f22.

1 - Instant;
2 - No;
3 - Not that I know of. But I wouldn´t really know!

I like primes for street photography as well.

OP is asking for a "wide aperture" lens. And the only variable aperture lens that´s somewhat fast, is the Sigma 17-70. If he wants constant aperture as well in his price range, it will be the...

The upgrade from the d90 to the d7000 was much more of an "upgrade" than from d7000 to the d7100. But if you "need" one of those minor upgrades, than one could argue that it is a a good buy!
For...

... it might be that you are half pressing the shutter, but by the time you decide to take the shot, the subject has already moved. In that case (if you are in focus priority), the camera will not...

Like others on this thread, I only use AF-C with the AF-ON button. That way I have both (AF-C and AF-S) without having to mess with one more setting.

If you are willing to give up the range (18-105), get the Sigma 17-50 2.8 OS and test it. If it works, you will have a great lens. If it has problems, exchange for another copy. I took my camera to...

I like Pentax cameras. But I didn´t even bother looking at them when I got my first dSLR just because there´s no support for it in my country (and many others). Harder to buy, harder to sell,...
-
Yes it can! But you would be better off with a macro lens for that! FAST 85mm are tipically portrait lenses and the manufacturers know that. Why would you want a 1.2, 1.4 or 1.8 for landscape?
-
I´m not sure what is "acceptable" or not, but my 35/1.8G needs -13!
-
As far as I know, the Tammy is not weather sealed.... so it does not matter a whole lot if the d7100 is.
-
Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy the new camera!
Yes, it´s a nice lens, quite sharp, with a nice range on DX.
The 16-85 should do well for your landscape needs. But for your portraits...
-
.. that it is pretty hard to say that the 16-85 is "the best landscape walkaround lens", or whatever. You have the 18-55, 18-105, 18-70 (all costing much less than the 16-85), tamron and sigma...
