Time lapse?

How do you edit that? Take one frame from every camera?

Is the time-lapse issue addressed?

brewstout: Ok, going out on a limb here as it may not be anything people on this site have done. Does this camera capture orbs (of light) better than the usual DSLR?

I shoot landscapes where 2/3 of the scene is night-sky.
Will I notice any difference in the night-skies when using my ultra-wide angle lens on this camera?
Or is this an exclusive feature for tele-photos right into the sky?

Panasonic did NOT let us test/compare GH2 with GH3. You could try it but not allowed to "compare" anything. Whats the point then?

EssexAsh: but is there a "select all" button. Kinda annoying when you have 200+ photos you want to remove and there isnt one.

No, still not fixed.
You still have to do it from the app Photos.

Goodmeme: I can't believe there's still no ETTL flash control in full manual. The only times I ever use manual with an SLR is when the flash is on ETTL.

I use the camera like this more than 50% of the time for portraits. i.e. set 1/100th to avoid subject motion blur. Set aperture to usually f8 or f11 if there's a group shot or perhaps wider if you think you can pull off the focus successfully. Make sure the iso (usually 200 or 400) means ambient expsoure would be -1 or lower. And like a god, the flash head with take care of the exposure for you. Just plug in +1 if you're bouncing off a ceiling or (prefereably) a corner wall diagonally behind and above you. OF course you always have the option to drag the shutter if subject movement is not an issue and / or using 2nd curtain.

With the G series, well... you'd better just leave it on P or A and 1/60th sec. Such behaviour was ok (although annoying) in the G9 etc because the smaller sensors mean large dof anyway, all the time. G1x = fail imo.

OK, lets see:
You saying that G1X cannot calculate automatically the flash-power-output in order to match a permanent exposure, despite what ever settings your are using?

I believe I can do that on my G6. I can't live without it actually :)

Zuzullo: LOVE IT. Thank you Canon!

I own the best non-SLR in the world: Canon G6

Built-in Time lapse
Built-in Neutral density filter
f/2,0-3,0
Macro 1:1 (35mm equiv.)
TTL-flash
100% reliable WYSIOYG
Bayonet lens Filter Adapter (way faster to use than SLR screw-in sys)
Perfect grip and balance! (SLR-like)

...and I moved recently to M43 world :( which deeply disappoints me every day. I need to carry 3 lens to get a similar performance. Ridiculous!

Now I just have to wait that you guys tune up that lens for the same f/2,0 of the Legendary G-series ... or even faster.

Hi daza:
One you have a fully articulated screen :) You can never go back!

The only thing that it is missing is speed focus and IQ.
m43 gives me more than I need but still miss most of the cool features listed above so.... yes it was a mistake... I will go back to the G series. :) But maybe wait for G2X so that I dont miss the super quick focus of m43.
