It renders OK, but there doesn´t seem to be any possibility to apply lens profiles.

And when one uninstalls the app it leaves a lot behind, and that is one thing I really dislike (that this is usual is no excuse).

chriscotec: I don't think C1 is quite there yet, in terms of versatility, but I can't wait for any of the "alternative" image editing applications to come of age and knock adobe (lower case intentional ; ) off its ivory tower. I hope it never gets back up when that happens. It would be one less controlling annoyance in a photographer's life.

@cxsparc
Thanks for your input.
I didn´t get it to work that way in C1 7, (without C1 creating new folders and making copies of RAWs) so I guess I´ll have to try out the new version.

What do you mean by "file-based" operation?

I´ve never managed to get C1 to open a RAW file from a right-click in file-explorer or via a direct link in e.g. FastStone ( like I can do with PS-ACR or RawTherapee et al) and that is the main reason I´ve stopped using C1.

If I´ve missed something please tell.

Price aside, it´s a beautiful lens.
Looks almost like a Sigma :)

I don´t understand how DPR can neglect to comment on the fact that Nikon has disabled TRAP FOCUS on the new generation bodies.

I really would like (more like demand) to know what is Nikon´s reasoning behind this. DPR should make Nikon explain.

joe6pack: such a shame from a manufacturer that brought us ground breaking cameras like the RX100.

It´s not just the camera, the screen is also bad.
Compared to e.g. LG 4xHD it really shows it´s shortcomings despite higher res. (I have both so I know). It is very uncomfortable to hold and you can´t change battery. Only good thing about it is native USB host.... hyped POS.
