That sounds very familiar if we are talking about the same thing here. I previously had Canon SX40, which suffered from vignetting. It was very noticeable when taking pictures of the blue sky....

Turned on the blinkies and looked through my pictures again - sure thing, some areas on the birds and wave peaks are black. Well, I will know better next time. Will also use exposure bracketing....
