Well that's it with Canon! I had a wonderful G1, lasted years (gave it away) and got a nice G5. It broke, Canon replaced it with a G6 which lasted a while and broke. Then I bought my son's G9 which was good until it broke too!
Canon wants $150 to fix it. I said no and tore it apart. Seems there are screws that get loose inside and short out the electronics.
So I don't care about this G15 or anything that Canon makes anymore, it's too poor quality for long term ownership. Canon seems to be more interested in disposable short life consumer products.
Gee I wish I had kept my G1! Articulated screen and the optical viewfinder was very accurate too.
