Nikon Convert: Mr Nikon,We really do need a Nikon D400 to upgrade our beloved D300's and to take on the Canon 7D. Please give a thought to your loyal Nikon DX followers!
Nice lens specs on the G15!
fuxicek: Ken Rockwell said: if you already have a Nikon D40 (or FE or SP), there's no need to buy a D800
Yeah, and he said if you want a great camera you can buy the D800, but if you want to take great pictures the Nikon D40 is great.
GrahamD: I think the people who would really appreciate this will be amateur wildlife photographers and birders, once they release a decent telephoto. A 300mm lens would be 810mm equivalent! But without the option of a long telephoto lenses, I don't see much advantage over a fixed lens camera. I understand the logic behind the small sensor. As sensors get better and more sensitive, you can either offer ever increasing ISO, or offer images with similar noise characteristics to earlier APS sensors but at a fraction of the size.
Totally agree! The 2.7x magnification gives a good advantage to telephoto lens users, if it offers superior image quality compared to a super zoom P&S!
Lovely story and shot. Wish you a long and happy relationship!
Great shot!!! And the little kid with the snake is wild!
But otherwise it's a lovely shot!
Those are Common Puffins not penguins.
