Giacomo Sardi: another "small sensor-object of desire" camera........ dear Olympus listen to me: is a very, very ,very nice piece of metal, but the advantages of big sensors against m4/3 are obvious... this body (and my pocket) , for that price needs a bigger sensor...

this is strange too... i think they have never used a BIG BLACK 500 F4 NiGGor ...

Tedolf have you ever seen the ricoh grd lens? Have you ever seen the lens of nikon coolpix A? Both have a bigger sensor and both have a smaller lens that retract full in the camera body... so what part of "smaller"and "bigger" don't understand? Have you ever seen a summicron? Have you ever seen the state of the art nikon 28ti's nikkor 28mm ?

this is not true.... the smallest Ricoh GRD , recently reviewed on this site is the perfect answer to your comment... and it's what i'm talking about... a beautiful camera like the olympus with apsc sensor or fullframe sensor.... i think that Fujifilm has the answer too... with fuji x200t ... 24mp apsc, 35mm equiv. .... i'll wait...

.. when olympus will make photos like the (smallest) Ricoh (apsc sensor) or Sony rx1 i'll buy it.... but "physics " tells me that will not happen soon.... i'll wait... i repeat that this is a beautiful piece of metal but m4/3 for that price imho is out of market...

Giacomo Sardi: i'm very disappointed from the samples... soft corners even in the middle it's not so good.... this is CRAZY for a model with a fix lens and that could be an incredible street camera... not for me... if you see a ricoh gr or a nikon coolpix A (same size aps-c sensors and focal lengt) you can understand what i mean for sharpness..... i'm waiting years this camera from fuji and now this softness ...

i have a coolpix A too ... never seen this softness.....NEVER.. i hoped in a camera with nikon coolpix A or Ricoh GR quality sensor but with an AF faster...

AbrasiveReducer: A (relatively) simple optical viewfinder would have made this a cult camera and distinguished it from the GR and $300 Coolpix A.

image quality is very poor, softness on a small 16mp photo is a big problem if your work ends with a PRINT... if you consider only images for postcards or facebook ok.... i see a LOT of softness... 300$ for a discontinued Coolpix A is a very good alternative...

yes... and i hoped in a ultrawide converter adapter like the others on x100.... to transform the 28mm equiv. in a 20mm equiv. or so... but with this soft lens i think it's a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE... what a pity..

street photographers listen to me.... perhaps fuji is too big ... if you shot with films take a nikon 28ti... if you shot digital take a Nikon coolpix A or a Ricoh GR... no more.... mmm one more thing... take a look to the world around you...

simply poor lens performance in the corner..... purple fringing.. i don't believe... ZEISS WTF ?

beautiful object of desire but looking at images it seems to me nothing special.. i see purple fringing and chromatic aberrations with 5000 euro lens... Photographers now work with 36-42-50 mp in raw and autocorrection lens profiles with lightroom makes better results.. ... thinking at sony a7r2 with zeiss lens .. for 1/3 of the money we have more quality and resolution. Sorry i watch my M6 and think this....
