Ignace: Thoughtful. Measured. Objective. The First Impressions Review is an excellent start.
Unlike the superficial "wow-wee!" remarks of other people who, not having even seen the cameras' output, appear to be reaching climax.

Sony is to be congratulated for trying--an "A" for "effort." However, as a camera SYSTEM (overall camera functions, FPS, lens availability, etc.) it should not present a real challenge to the new Olympus E-M1.

We can see in reviews already published that the E-M1 OOC output can compete extremely well with cameras like the Nikon D-7100 and the Canon 70D, which have much higher megapixel count.

To my mind, A7/A7r are worthy contenders, but lose in the championship bout. Pros and enthusiasts will be cautious about jumping into the A7/A7r bandwagon.

Still, it's good to have Sony doing something different; it will keep everyone on its toes.

And exactly which university did you get your Ph.d. in Psychology at, Dr.dynaxx ?
Perhaps you should spend more time analyzing both cameras, and less time psychoanalyzing the opinions of posters you disagree with.
Childish reactions won't advance your cause.
