DPR, since apparently Olympus includes an 'anti-shock' feature (1/8 second delay before capture) to work around this problem, it would be useful for us normal users if you could comment on whether...

Personally I don't believe the rumours about the soon to be announced X100 firmware.
Firstly, adding focus peaking seems too ambitious. And if they could improve the AF speed why didn't they do it...

FYI
The price of a refurbished X-Pro1 has dropped to £700.
The X100 is no longer available either new or refurbished.

Well, if you were after advice for which one to buy for this purpose then I would say neither.
I presume you want an EVF since these two models have one.
Therefore I would recommend a micro four...

I would hope that they are not treating the X-M1 and the Nex-6 in the same class of camera since one has built in EVF. Sony NEX-6 £600 is excellent value high end device competing with X-E1, E-M5,...

One of the easiest tests with this scene (that I have found so far) is the details on the coins and the hair. Unfortunately both of these appear only once. What distance is the camera from the...

In full screen mode I think you could usefully reduce the percentage of the screen given to the whole scene and increase the area given to the comparisons. I notice that in the page header Reviews...

I think this tool is fantastic. But I am concerned that the the difference between all the cameras eg. E-M1 and 5D Mark 3 is so minimal. Is that an accurate reflection of reality or is the...

LisaO,
can you share with us your reasons for selling the X-Pro1 and keeping the X-E1?
Many thanks

Thank you to everybody for the great responses.
(BTW, I should have posted this in Beginner's Questions)
It's interesting that nobody gave the type of answer I was expecting.
i.e. "Well even for a...

I am trying to decide which camera system to buy based upon sensor size and lens avaiability.
Clearly, certain lenses at maximum aperture will have such a narrow depth of field (at a given subject...

You should consider the FujiFilm X-Pro1 or wait for the X-Pro2.
Maybe keep the Leica glass to use with it as Fuji have an adapter.

I am am not looking for something smaller/better/cheaper than the Fuji 18mm F2 (or Samsung 30mm F2) just an equivalent on NEX.
-
I meant the Samsung 30mm and the Fuji 18mm. Sorry.

What you say about lens correction in FW is really interesting. I wasn't aware of that.
Thanks

Why would it be true that a 35 mm or 50mm F 1.8 is "useful" but that 18 to 30mm F1.8 or F2.0 is not?
-
I think that for shooting indoors (in small English houses) a 35mm is to long.
I would certainly get the 35mm or the 50mm if I bought the camera but that depends on the availability of the wide &...

Hi, I certainly wouldn't use the wide open all the time.
But I just love looking through my Samsung 30mm F2 and finding that the view of the room is brighter in the camera than it is to the naked...
