I would buy it if iGills creates a water proof housing for it. {Dive Computer}

Valentin Hertz: Why would I use this Pocket wizard toys vs Nikon integrated infrared? Just because it uses radio? I definitely want TTL and all the Nikon has...

Please advise.
Thanks!

Personally I like the Flex system, but I think the true power of this system is when you add the AC3 unit. The AC3 unit just makes flash photography easy for those of us that are confused by it. Just adjust the AC3 unit up or down for a specific group and voila. Yes you can do this for commander mode, but the AC3 unit is SOOO much easier.

On Nikon D800 preview (1118 comments in total)

Nikon Specs say:

Exposure bracketing: 2 to 9 frames in steps of 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or 1 EV
Flash bracketing: 2 to 9 frames in steps of 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or 1 EV
White balance bracketing: 2 to 9 frames in steps of 1, 2 or 3

I kind of thought the specs here were not right.

Derouyag: Why do I, a Bibble 5 Pro licensed user, need to purchase Bibble 5 a second time through Corel using it under a different name - AfterShot Pro? Upgrade price of $79.99 Canadian?

What?

Got the email. If within 120 days it is free. Otherwise it is $19.99 before the end of January.

120 days as of what date? Purchased mine August 22, 2011 which is not within the 120 days... UNLESS the 120 days is prior to December 15, 2011. :-)

I personally think this is great for Bibble. Bibble can assume and inherit all of the good things of PSP. Once all the good stuff has been ported over to Bibble, they can simply get rid of PSP for the better version of Bibble.

Personally I would add the Sirui M3204 to this list. While it doesn't have a ball head on it, most of the other specs are better than what these tripods have. Keep in mind this is probably their largest (4-section 58"), maybe heaviest tripods (1.7kg, only a little heavier than the lightest among the five in the article), and strongest (40lb load capacity). Oh it too is under $450ca and can also switch-hit as a monopod. Did I mention it is made from 8x Carbon Fiber?

So many tripods out there. It would be impossible to pick just one that could do everything... but my M3204 gets real close!

As a guy, all I can think of is how cold that water is. I know this water would not be much over 45f degrees.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr.... great shot!

On Guinea pig and the owner. in the Pets Are People Too challenge (27 comments in total)

I voted for her picture. I am responsible for her win. Sure A LOT of others voted for her picture, but I will take responsibility for her winning.

I thought it was a great picture, but most importantly it fit the requirements of the challenge. I also voted in a logical way so as not to bias myself from one pic to the other.

Here is my voting strategy for this challenge based on the challenges requirements.

.5 - only animal, regardless of quality of pic

2.0 min - if including a person that was intended to be in the pic (legs don't count)

+.5-2.0 in subjective addition to the 2.0 min if the picture is interesting, title appropriate, etc.

No one got higher than 4.0. The 4.0 was NOT a dog or cat. {snore}

So based on this anyone could probably guess their own score. I don't specifically know the value I assigned to this picture, but I am sure it was at least 3.5.

Also based on your attitude, I presume you don't get much photography work. You are very negative and offer nothing to promote photography.

So why don't you give us a list of pictures that YOU consider better than this one; given the criteria of the challenge. Then post one of your own within this thread so we can see what a great photographer you are.
