Why not just buy a 17/40L and bring your trusted 7D....you can keep the zoom lens when you step up to FF someday.
-
On top of different VF magnifications, I hate tunnel vision and would take a pentaprism any day.
-
Same as you Hans, I have the 5D3 and the D800E; I don't see major difference in resolution except one thing.... I hate the color tonality of the D800E, it looks artificial!
In the film era, Nikon...

Best choice for you as a lightweight travel tele, forget about the 100 whatever, 135L and 200L... the small zoom does it all!
I have the 70/200 I and II as well, but as a lightweight, nothing can...

Thank you so much for the info.

If your budget permits...of course the 5D3 is a better camera than the 6d...to make it short;there must be a reason why canon poise the 5d3 on top of 6d.
17/40L works fine on 5D3, if you wanna...

I have the 5D3 and 580EX II and am rarely use flashes.. but thinking of setting up a 2 to 3 strobes rig at the moment.
My question is can I add a 600RT to work wirelessly with my 580EX II, or is it...

Yeah, you better keep your Sigma 50/1.4 if you have a good sample; may be I should send mine in for a cal as well, thanks for your reminder.
Whereas for the normal zoom selection, you will never go...

Just replace your two Sigmas from one of the three canon normal zooms; 24/70II, 24/105IS or the 24/70IS, and you'll be a happy man.
I have the sigma 50/1.4 as well; IQ is fine but the...

I'm not a troll here but really hate the sluggishness of all X series Fujis..... even the slow 5D2 is a rocket comparing to them.

I have both, the focusing mechanism of the 50/1.4 is not really up to par, sigma 50/1.4 has HSM but AF is not as consistent as canon's, its annoying most of the time. IQwise, both are pretty much...

100% yes, get the 5D3 and you will not regret one bit. I always thought that 5D3 is the 1Ds3 upgrade; not the 1Dx.Still waiting for a high MP 1DXs or whatever from canon...
-
In every respect 5D3 is better than the 5D2... its a much more matured product which makes it a joy to use as an all purpose camera.
-
All you need is 17/40L and 24/105L.
-
Canon has two 100/2.8 macro lenses, but for insects 180L is most suitable, expensive though.
-
You forgot to bring your house.... just a reminder!
-
I agree... 6 raw in a roll is a joke in 2013....no?
-
I own both, if you don't always shoot wide open don't bother. Both are nice lenses.

Unless you are a collector and can find some use from those bodies, I dont see why not you sell them if you could; its not going to worth much, but all up to you.
I was in the same dilemma last...
