  • Really did remind me of the old "Lecia Way" books.  Nothing about the range finder, that I've found.  It would be nice if he would repost that discussion.   Lots to read.  Mostly about the art of ...
  • Replied in Cars X
Looks like a Desota to me. . .
  • My copy of Erwin Puts "Leica Practicum" arrived in Minneapolis, MN today 5/28/14 !   First glance it reminds me of the "Leica Way" books published back in the film days, when I was just learning ...
  • Replied in X Vario or T ?
Do you want a "real" Leica camera - one that you need to use as a camera and think about your tools as you create or do you want a fancy, over hyped, point and shoot?   The T is just that, a fancy ...
  • Easy answer.  The Leica "T" is not material to me.  I have a number of film Leicas from a IIIC to an M-6 TTL.  I have a V-Lux, D-Lux, C-lux as well as an M-8.s and M-9P.   There is nothing about ...
  • Well.  It says "Dodge" right on the front of the grill.  Must be a Dodge !
  • Replied in M8 good deal?
Check E-Bay for some comparisons.   It's low use and resonable condition bring it's price up a bit over average for an M-8.   Might shop around just a bit.  As it is almost new it's not too bad.
  • The M8 is a fine camera.  The main factors are the sensor is not full frame and it had some banding issues that required a filter correction on the lenses.  The M8.2 corrected the banding issue ...
  • Why not buy a Lecia?   I learned to take photo's back in the 1960's with a Lecia IIIC that my father gave me  when he moved on and got a M2 and M3.    I was lucky to  get the full screw mount ...
  • It has a general softness to the entire picture.  I can't tell what your focus point was.  I guess if you are after this kind of soft portrait work its just fine.   I'd rather see a sharp face ...
  • Excellent look from an unusual point of view.   Well taken.
  • Merci!!!!! Very well said.  Glad to have your point of view.
  • I agree the second one is better.   Was that a crop or a zoom in?   It gives more of a feel of a cold walk.
  • I"d think the place to ask that question is DxO, not 'Leica Talk".  If anyone should answer your question is the vendor of the product you are using.   Just seems to me.
  • C-41 film processing is available in many parts of the US.   If you do a search with "bing' or 'Google' you will find a number of them.  Some still honor mail in envelopes.   Darkroom does sheet ...
  • What a great "Troll".   Brought a great laugh and smile.  Thanks
