  • True. Embarrassing, even. How do you know that for sure? Could have been the other way 'round, as well. True, assuming Canon will now finally go all the way to develop the M line into the series of ...
  • Canon marketing is like watching a soap opera, isn't it? "Come and see next week when we'll change our minds about the M system AGAIN!!"

And >1000$ for an entry level body, kit, bulky EVF, on a...

  • From the pictures you posted over the years, she seems to be a creative and fun person. Hopefully she'll recover soon...
  • Something tells me Canon USA has a firm opinion on that one.
  • Seeing those, they immediately reminded me of your previous roadtrip report. It's amazing how a good photographic eye stands out. Thanks for sharing. Very cool pics. Love the 3rd one.
  • If only there were a way to put that G3 X lens onto an RX10-style body. I would be happy. Reach, IQ, not too big, builtin EVF.
  • Jerry CI: I didn't miss the point, I value it differently. To each his own.

  • 50% may sound like a lot, but have you looked at the actual difference in field of view between 400mm eq and 600mm eq., in real pictures? It's really not that big...
I think Panasonic made the more...

  • Hey, don't blame me, it was your reasoning.
  • RX10 has an EVF but is quite a bit smaller than FZ1000 and isn't that much taller than the G3 X. FZ1000 is bigger in ALL dimensions, chunkier, and that's not just because it has an EFV.
  • Extending your reasoning, the EOS M line shoudn't exist at all. Canon must be insane.
  • Replied in Olympus did it
My point was that F6.3 is not necessarily "beyond ludicrous" like you said. The 15-45 will probably do what the 12-32 does up to 64 mm-eq, with the added bonus of extending up to 72mm-eq albeit at ...
  • Replied in Olympus did it
Don't know at what focal length this new 24-72 mm-eq lens will hit F6.3, but the kitlens for the Panasonic GM1/5 (the tiny 12-32mm) is at 5.6 even before 64mm-eq. And that's not even APS-C. Yet ...
  • Eh, what did they ruine exactly? G3 X and G1 X II are different types of camera. The G3 X does not replace the G1 X II. At some point in time, there will probably a G1 X III and a G3 X II. Nothing ...
  • Can't say I'm blown away by JPEG IQ. I've seen better JPEGs from Canon. Colors are OK, but images look grainy at base ISO, blotchy, lack of detail... Hopefully RAW + PP will be better, but for...

  • From a G3 X user review on amazon.de: 24mm 2,8 35mm 3,2 50mm 4,0 60mm 4,5 82mm 5,0 180mm 5,6
  • Wow man, if you categorically refuse to understand what people are telling you, then why are you here? Btw, not LOL. The camera does not have an EVF builtin. Some people, including me, would have ...
  • Pluto has a diameter of 2370 km. New Horizons flew by at a distance of 12000 km, travelling at 50000 km/h. There's severe cosmic radiation and cold (minus 230°C) in those regions. The amount of ...
