Forgive me but why are we doing an "upside down" test?

Check this Panasonic cable release at B&H photo ... says it is for all Lumix cameras with a cable socket. If that includes the Panasonic version of your camera it should work.

You did not say where you will be nor the mix of interior and exterior shots you will take but if you plan much in side at all take the 20mm 1.7.Most museums will let you shoot without flash. And...

I've used several Fuji cards in various sizes from B&H... never had a problem with any of them and prices are usually better than other brands.

Very nice. Lone the simplicity of it

Very nice.... and I suspect you deserve a "patience award" as well. I have this lens... you're telling me to use it for often this summer.

First one is my favorite... that got my attention right away.
The kitty may well grow on me.

And of course if you want the G5 body only, you can get that for $498.
G5 w/lens is $359.99 as I type this.

Very keen to hear/see how this combo works for you in France. That's exactly the reason I have the same thoughts in my head right now... France in the fall. And business trips to Bonn and Berlin...

And I like the first one best... I really must explore b&w more. And always good to see continued fine use of the GF1.

GF-1 finder isn't great but it works fine for me... invaluable for framing in daylight, especially if you prefer to put your eye to the finder instead of holding at arm's length. I wear reading...

What's the lens with this? I see a black body only GX1 that also seems a good deal at $299. No need here for the regular kit lens.
-
Agree here as well... have read many discussions of fungus inside a lens... never one where it spread inside the camera itself.

I have the Rainbow as well, for the same Minolta mount. Works fine. Have used it with 3 or 4 lenses without a problem.

In those "good old days" for these lenses, one reason for buying a "faster" lens like a 50/1.4 instead of an 50/1.7 or a 50/2.8 was the brighter viewfinder image. The lenses stay open at max...
-
Chinons were budget lenses in the 70s... not necessarily bad but the Minolta should be a fair bit better... written by someone with a fair collection of MC and MD Minolta lenses. If the prices were...

Great answer... fast and faster indeed makes sense when talking about a second or so and faster than that. I use the 20 mm lens often... Don't shoot fast moving animals or people and so the focus...
