Wouldn't it be nice if the forthcoming Panasonic 150mm f2.8 had a built-in 1.4x extender, like the new Canon 200-400 has? Then the electronic correction that Panasonic uses could be correct for...

If it is due to pushing the shutter button and light body combination, then EVERY light camera will exhibit it with IS off. Surely this is not true???? And why didn't you test it using self timer...

Not one mention of the words shake or blur in relation to image quality.

1.2 inches is a lot. Plus the extra lens size is a killer in terms of size comparisons. Better to compare with the EOS M
-
A pity they didn't include a third image in the comparison, being that of an excellent complex lens shooting the same image.

Excellent photos, thanks for the article. Pity about the ignorant commentators.

One of the most enjoyable articles on dpr, thanks for this.

Don't headline a patent app like it is a completed pre-production prototype. Too few of these see the light of day to be taken seriously.

57even makes ridiculous comments. Where did I say I hate it? I note you did not disagree with my point at all, so why the stupid 'get lost' comment at the end?

"Without comments and forums traffic on this site would fall off a cliff." And there is the real reason for the editors of this site to disagree with Honan. Commercial self-interest. Not the stuff...

@Bill Reese, the 10-100 should be smaller than the Pana 14-140, but it is bigger and heavier (and more expensive) and not superior optics either.

Notice that DXOMark rate the Mk II as optically quite a bit better than the...

I agree with your sentiments--- just want to point out that the RX100 does not belong in the above list, as it has a 1" sensor that you said 'don't consider'.
-
Actually the Coolpix A has a BIGGER sensor than four thirds. But a fixed 28mm (equiv) lens.
Canon also make the G1X with a bigger sensor than four thirds, and a 28-112mm (equiv) lens.
Sony RX-1 has...

You misunderstood. I am not comparing the OVF with Live View, I am comparing it with EVF, which is not subject to daylight interference any more than OVF. I don't think you read my post properly.

Who cares? The point is that, if they introduce a new camera and cease the 7D upon its release, it is clearly the replacement. Name doesn't matter. Amount of innovation doesn't matter. It's the...

The 24-70 f4.
The newer the lens, the better it performs in terms of speed and accuracy, IF used on an equally modern EOS, like the 6D.
-
I expect the same sensor as the 70D to be in the new 7D. However, I suspect Canon introduced it in the 60D replacement for a reason, despite the 60D being a year younger than the 7D. It could be...

The current 7D has that (although LED not OLED, but same principle).
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
