GeRoche: I think you should modify your definition and especially the examples - the policeman/donut one is definitely not OMNIPRESENT anywhere outside the US! Can you imagine anybody eating donuts in France??

The doggie continued its ubiquitous yelpings even when there were no cars.

Several disqualifications because : 1 - Only 1 subject present and 2 - Unclear what is ubiquitous.

After beating the black man senseless, the 5 cops laid the ubiquitous charges of resisting arrest against him.

Le gendarme demanded the ubiquitously brown man to show his papers.

ThePalindrome: How strict is the "no snow and ice" rule? Does this mean no winter pics? Are snow capped mountains or small fields of snow in the summer OK?

As long as snow and ice do not dominate the scene, the entry is good.

In reply to:

bettyhilda: I looked it up in the Britannica dictionary and it defined it as 'existing, or seeming to exist everywhere at once, omnipresent'. Hope this is helpful? Thanks FNG303 for a word I didn't know accurately! :-)

Hi Bettyhilda, I find the definition too general. Anything could be said to be ubiquitous which is why it is necessary to read the example sentences.

If you do not see your entry, it has been disqualified for 1-too many trees, 2- it is a field, not a prairie, 3-no land, mostly sky, 4-not on theme.

In reply to:

poppyjk: Does the host make a distinction between open grassland and farmland planted with crops? Seems to be a huge difference. There are many farm crop and pasture photos in this challenge.

Wheat (grass) is the main crop on North American prairies and the theme is grasslands.

chrisby: Dear Host,

is an entry with a wrong zoom range of a point and shoot camera including explanation also acceptable?

Acceptable. We need a 100X zoom camera.

Two Hands: To eat or not to eat. Is that the question?

I only eat quiche when I am out of town. I even tried a vegetarian quiche once. The horror.
