  • Submitted a challenge entry I-5 Overpass
Interstate 5 overpass from Balboa Park to San Diego City College in San Diego, California.

So what went wrong? I'd metered for the top of the bridge with the intention of getting the entire thing in view. I'd taken another shot at the top of the bridge and was in the process of setting up for another shot when I accidentally hit the shutter release on the camera. My friend (assisting by keeping me company at three in the morning,) is visible at the apex of the bridge, again, completely unintentional. Could not have amounted for a nicer accident.

  • Submitted a challenge entry Bernersennenhund
A Bernese Mountain Dog in Kichijoji, Japan. Originally used as war dogs by the Romans, the breed originated in Switzerland and have a storied history as working dogs. They all have very unique personalities that center around family and getting into mischief of various forms.

The Berner here is named Gray, and not something I was expecting to encounter in the park on this afternoon. After all, you just don't see too many Swiss mountain dogs in the suburban belt of one of the world's largest cities.

  • I remember your work to that end, not to mention the prototype from 2001 that was substantially similar to what is being discussed in the above post. (See:...
