I spent some time in the Adirondacks over the weekend and brought my 5n on its first trip. I took the kit lens and newly acquired sigma 19 so I could compare. I was pretty happy with both lenses....

mft lenses have been tested using standard means for evaluating lens quality, just like e-mount lenses have. the numbers speak for themselves and represent objective measurements of lens...

must be bigger than the dcr 150. the dcr 150 does not fit onto my kit lens. and in any case it would cause vignetting.

totally disagree. 28mm equivalent is fine, but the most impressive landscape photos i've seen are 24mm or wider. there's a reason why panorama photography is popular.

except that i just bought both sigma 19 and 30 together brand new for less than $300. the equivalent panasonic lenses would be around $500 new. the main advantage is the panasonic primes are tiny....

the sigma is a better value. there are apparently a ton of great legacy 50mm lenses you can get for cheap that will offer similar iq and bokeh to the sel50.

i think the difference is jpegs... i liked the jpegs out of my panasonic zs7 better than out of my nex-3. they seemed to have better contrast and more vivid color. but obviously you can tweak the...

you really should be comparing with other mirrorless systems not dslrs. nex only needs to compete with m43, eos-m, fuji whatever-it's-called, etc. the market and competition determine the price.
