Asking for your advice on this. I am looking for a camera to be used mostly for product photography (namely watches).
As the Foveon sensors are some of the best in class I am considering a DP3M for...

Have to say I am impressed with level of details the DP2M is able to squeeze even at low light when shooting at base ISO

Some taken with the DP2M this past weekend at Ericeira, Portugal

Thank you all for the kind comments. I am enjoying more and more this little camera.

Would like to share with you some photos I have taken today with the DP2M at Ericeira, Portugal. Quite happy with the colors and level of detail this little camera is able to produce.

Thanks for the feedback. Photo was taken with a light tent but have to play a bit more with the white balance settings. Likely will use a grey card for the final setup.

Only about 30% of dial was in focus. It helps to use big apertures though and about 2/3rds in front of focus point are in focus and 1/3rd in back of it.May not be a totally professional solution...

It is a versatile camera, really. I wasn't sold on using the DP2M for product photography till I tried. May not be professional compared to other photographers but suits needs well.

Thanks for sharing. Love the fist photo. Looks almost a painting, well done!

I have tried to plug in a Yongnuo 560 II flash to the DP2M. For a start odd that the connection of flash unit seems to be turned 180 degrees as the infra red points backwards ...After plugging it...

Hi,as a coincidence I have received an email from them (with same question posed) and they replied to me version 2.0 will support the Merrill cameras and release is this week.

I have just purchased a DP2 Merrill and I am aware RAW support is mostly limited to Sigma Photo Pro.Is anyone aware if there will be a third party supporting RAW files specially for the OSX...

this time with the Takumar 135mm F3.5 taken handheld at F5.6 ISO 800 and a speed of 1/10 sec.For the focal length and handheld I think the IS worked well.

My photo model has been my papillon dog. Took advantage while it was sleeping to test manual focus with the M42 Helios 44M-7 lens. Manual focus with the VF2 is so much better.
Photo is not perfect...

Kudos to Olympus if true as it proves Panasonic produces great sensor but just not able to get all juice they can produce.
