Chau Hong Linh: Reading the review, I had nearly pulled out my credit card and bought a Leica Q from Amazon.
Fortunately I had read the comments here first. And after looking carefully at the photos, I didn't see much different in IQ between the Q and my Lumix GX8 using Leica Summilux 15mm f/1.7 (roughly 30 mm in full frame equivalence).
Even with Panasonic 4/3 12-35 mm f/2.8, my GX8 produced better details in the photos.
So no Leica Q for me. And thanks to all comments that saved me from Leica voodoo :)
To start with, you will never be able to play with depth of field as you would be able to with a Q
Bouddha: Again, I have difficulties to understand how the 80% was given when compared to I.e. A X100S or T. I own both, the Q and an X100T.The Q lens is fasterThe Q lens is sharperThe Q AF is much fasterThe Q Body is of much higher QAThe Q has ISThe Q ISO performance is a little betterThe Q has better video
The Q has a Lower ranking than an X100S ???
As you mention, it partially depends on where you set your expectations.
I knew the camera would not be flawless when I bought it but I loved so much my X100T and knowing the shortcomings of the X100T and what I would gain going to an Q that for me, the price is fairly high but acceptable.
Reading all of these writings here of the price just make me thought one thing...... this camera when used and will be put for sale should keep its value a little better than an X100T and thus, will likely reduce a little the difference with the X100T. .... In the meanwhile, I just enjoy using it ! :-)
Well, I understand and agree with you. However, the X100T I own is much more recent and I was comparing to this one and not the X100s.
Your point is still relevant for older cameras, but the X100T is not that older.

Bouddha: Will the X100T benefit also of these improvements ?
Yes, I knew what I bought. Does that mean I can not hope for further improvements and find it sad if they support an older camera and maybe not one which was more expensive and recent with fixed lens ? No, I do hope and wish they will do so. They have no obligations but interest to keep sales more than me the obligations from buying from them.
Anyhow, lets wait & see.
That is sad, because the X100T is the last Fuji body and doesn't allow lens changing. So they should support at least as much if not more this camera than the XT1.
Will the X100T benefit also of these improvements ?
What light setup did you use ?
photog4u: USA TODAY calls the RX100 “Groundbreaking”. Pogue at the New York Times calls the camera “a Revelation”. Butler at dpeview calls it a “Spectacular piece of engineering” with “TARDIS-like” design.
Not awarding the RX100 the Gold is an egregious error and should be corrected immediately!
Son are already havé setup nd filter if you google a bit.It will not be long before a company sells them.
