You can't really emulate shift digitally either. Both ways can be used to keep lines straight, but the composition isn't the same.

If there's a perfect lens in the world, it's the Canon 135 f/2L. Why Zeiss wants to compete with that is beyond me. Maybe they're designing a camera in the back room somewhere?

Looking at the exposures, I'm wondering if it's the dark line that's the problem, or the rest of the photo. What happens at f/11?
