Can't comment on the air with regards to performance but I can on screen size. If you are looking to use something like light room I think the smaller screens would get old to work on all the time....

Trying to get going with LR. Importing 200,000 images into a caltalog. It made it about 1/2 way through overnight and now it's not making any progress....  Not sure what to do.

I could but I probably burn about 200 dvd's a year for various clients. Not sure it would be cost effective.
