A truly Bizarre test. Why use two lenses that couldn't be more different, rather than drop the same Tamron or sigma on to each body, to at least get some semblance of consistency in lens performance?

@T3, there's an expensive bit of digital, which you are ignoring - printing. If you don't shop around those wee packs of 6x4 paper can be almost as expensive as Instax film!

This is a great series, not just in it's own right but also in context of his wider body of work around urbanisation. It's also well worth looking at his "Tokyo Compression" series.

Tell you what mikhail tal, go make prints a couple of metres across that are viewable with detail from half a metre away then tell me how 'amateurish' the process is.

It's gonna cost a lot more to get the 19/30/60 lenses converted than to ebay them and buy a new one!

If this had been around 6 months ago I'd have been using MFT rather than NEX.

This wouldn't look 'retro' at all in black.
