MariusM: So...these are made specially for the Fuji X-PRO cameras? ; )
Nice one! 😄😄😄
Well I'm sure that'll be sucking in alot of dust for the sensor.
davids8560: Panasonic's recent announcement of its 1-inch sensor-equipped Lumix ZS100 changes the whole travel zoom playing field. There is now nothing else to look at it in this sector.
Not if you want a 600mm plus zoom. Croping can only do so much.
Hey Olympus!!!...where the XZ-3?!?!? 24-120 F2-f3 lens, 5 axis ibis and 1 inch sensor. Please and thank you.
omeneo: Yes it is 4K at 15fps, but at least it's a 1/2.3" sensor.
No the sensor in the iphone6s are about as small as you can get.
Tieu Ngao: Why bother with 4K video and 5-axis IS on the tiny 1/2.3" sensor. I think in order to have acceptable IQ 1" sensor is the minimum.
You know 1/1.7" sensors used to be high end in 2011. 1 inch sensors are really over hyped. Yes they are good. Yes they are better. But show me one one inch sensored compact camera that can match the 24-720 zoom on the TZ80 with its size.
Everything has a place.
Too bad the X100S hasn't recieved any updates.
Siobhan A: What kind of IS does the lens have again? And will this sell for $1800 on Amazon like the Nikon and Canon versions with IS? Or will Sony charge their typical 15% premium over their $1899 MSRP?
Rishi, do FE lenses suddenly now not fit sonys APSC cameras?? My mistake. I guess they don't since the 24-70 must not fit the A6300...
mrc4nl: Its all about a7 and Fe mount these days.
I wish sony would finally come up with a new aps-c lens. I dont want expensive FE stuff
You have all of those FE full frame lenses!! No need for more apsc lenses! All of your needs are covered!! Unless you want a standard 2.8 zoom for your A6300.....then well....you can buy the 24-70 and....have no stabilization....
....the A6300 had no ibis.
Frank in Bridgewater: Might have wished they could have tried a better quality "standard" zoom for the APS-C line, especially with the new a6300 announced with all its bells and whistles.
Well what do you mean you have all of those full frame lens in your arsenal?!?! You can buy the 24-70!! Though...you won't get stabilization....*sarcasm *
left eye: One of the main dSLR strongholds is not requiring battery power when composing a shot.
Which on a tripod - for me at least - can take 5 - 10 minutes between angles, off a tripod maybe even longer between shots - continually eyeing angles between - i.e requiring seeing through the viewfinder over that period.
EVF encourages rushing the process of taking shots, anyone who disagrees I believe is being disingenuous - or hasn't realised they are being quietly rushed.
To me the mirror - seeing the actual light freely available - not requiring battery power - is the real WOW - it was and always will be - it's the light from the actual subject.
princecody: Can't wait for the GH5 :)
More like the GH6
ArtAlt: a6300 focuses down to EV ???
Solid question. I'm curious too
The Squire: I wonder why GM branded rather than Sony-Zeiss branded?
Marry. That's not it. The panaleicas are leica designs. Produced by panasonic. I'm sure they do get royalties. But they cost more either way.
Same goes with the sonyzeiss
Zeiss sony lenses = Zeiss lens design. Sony built. G lens = Sony lens design and Sony built. G is sony branded premium lenses.
Wild Light: The world is, again, on the verge of financial melt down. So it comes as no surprise.
....because the iPhone has a camera built in. With likely a Sony sensor.
Tom Holly: I wouldn't buy another after my a7r. The shutter shake issue and sonys response to it convinced me it's not the camera company for me.
Well if you were an really early adopter then you kinda got burned. Besides that scenario. Reviews were out that stated things about shutter shock. Somethings just cannot be fixed via firmware.
Hurry buy buy buy!!!
princecody: Who is making the sensor?
It's likely the 24mp sony sensor as see in the D750. It's a great sensor. No complaints really.
