Dolphin trainers attending visitors
Taken on: Mar 10, 2010
■ Dolphin trainers attending visitors at Madrid's Zoo Aquarium (Spain) after the show, prior to a photographic session with the dolphins. There are several other pictures in this same set where you can see the photographic session taking place.
Taken handheld from very far away with a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 (ZS3) quite late in the afternoon using a long telephoto focal length ( 300 mm, F5.6, 1/800 sec., ISO 80 ). The picture is absolutely unretouched and unprocessed, straight out of the camera (SOOC).

Plaza de España (Seville, Spain)
Taken on: Mar 3, 2010
■ Plaza de España, Seville (Spain). Taken with a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 (ZS3) in blazing sun, handheld ( 25 mm, f/5.6, 1/500 sec., ISO 80 ).
Sunlight was overpowering and I wanted to try this contrasty scene. The 10 Mp full-size pic has awesome detail down to the pixel level and virtually no cromatic aberration (color fringing) whatsoever.

Temple of Debod
Taken on: Feb 24, 2010
■ The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple which was rebuilt in Madrid, Spain. The temple was built originally 15 km south of Aswan in southern Egypt very close to the first cataract of the Nile and to the great religious center dedicated to the goddess Isis, in Philae.
In 1960, due to the construction of the Great Dam of Aswan and the consequent threat posed to several monuments and archeological sites, UNESCO made an international call to save this rich historical legacy. As a sign of gratitude for the help provided by Spain in saving the temples of Abu Simbel, the Egyptian
state donated the temple of Debod to Spain in 1968.
