I know this is a pretty lousy quality shot, but the fact that this is one pretty unique colored bee kinda outweighs the technical crappiness of the picture. A bee with GREEN EYES? And dig them stripes....think this little fluke of Nature? Nuh-UH! Just found out that this is actually a Long Horned Bee and supposedly pretty common round SoCal. Cool, ain't it?

Pretty baby python of the albino variety. One thing I've always liked about snakes is how silky they feel when you pet one...smooth to the touch, quite cool and very very beautiful.

Fluffy, charming and adorable as all get out, this little fella's gonna grow up to be one of the top predators on this planet. Yup, this sweet faced ball of puppy is a full on Alaskan Timber Wolf, and judging from his beautiful parents, he's gonna be one drop dead handsome boy!

Tis Spring and all thoughts turn to the delights of you-know-what! Even sweet, wholesome little critters like ladybugs get bitten by the lovebug and well....let's just say the picture tells the story.

Tis Spring and all the local birds are out to pair up and parry with any and all rivals, including this wee House Sparrow I came across this afternoon. Seems our little avian was having a bit of a tussle with a rival over some territory...only problem was that it was tussling with it's own reflection in a car window!

I see this wee guy just about every day.....he's got a patch staked out on the wall behind my home, and it's always fun to see him sittiing there singing his little heart out.
