This was my first sight of the Philippines. And even after months in Indonesia and Malaysia, It was a shock. The Poverty here is appalling. As my boat pulled up into port around 12 wooden boats from the Badjao TauLaut sea gypsies pleaded with me for one hour to throw them money or food. There’s people have been roaming the seas for centauries, and now they governments of Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are forcing these people to settle. Only problem is, all three governments are trying to get them to settle on the other governments land.
