Chiesa del Gesù
Taken on: Apr 21, 2013
This is just a small part of the ceiling decor of the Chiesa del Gesù in Rome and there is nothing I can really add that makes it any better except maybe just to say that it was almost impossible to clearly identify where 3D art and sculpture merged into 2D paintings and that it is even harder to do so in a photograph.

A view of the incredible ceiling adornments and decorations of Sant'Andrea della Valle in Rome.
This is about 10 or 12 shots taken with the Fujifilm X-E1 and stitched together in Microsoft ICE.
Thank you for visiting and I hope that you enjoy the work.

The Arch Of Constantine, Rome
Taken on: Apr 15, 2013
This is the Arch of Constantine right next to the Colosseum in Rome.
In producing this image I was trying to avoid the atypical tourist shot because, well, lets face it, it's all been done before. So.. this is a combination of 6 shots (mainly because I bracketed and because my lens isn't wide enough to get it all in in one go from where I was standing) taken with the Fujifilm X-E1. It's been stitched in Microsoft ICE and then put through it's paces in a bunch of other software. This is a very early stab so there are one or two things that I'm not completely happy with and I may revisit this when I have a bit more time and patience but overall I'm really pleased with the result.
I hope that you enjoy the work

The Killing Field
Taken on: Apr 14, 2013
The Coloseum in Rome. A 10 shot stitch put together with Microsoft ICE, captured on the X-E1.
I reckon that there's more than 100 people in this shot. This place is BIG!

Theatre In The Round
Taken on: Apr 2, 2013
Yep, first prize for cringiest title of the day!
This is the Lowry Theatre (again) taken with my new Fuji X-E1 (again) - have I mentioned that I've got a new camera?
This is a composite from 7 frames stitched together in Microsoft ICE. Remaining treatments done in a bunch of other software. Had to have a go at some monochrome, but not just any old monochrome, nope, it definitely needed a bit of sepia toning. Ahhh..., takes me back to the good old days of hand toning and colouring my B&W prints.
I hope that you enjoy the work and thanks very much for dropping by.
Regards,
Cluke

Fuji X-E1 First Light - Under The Bridge
Taken on: Apr 1, 2013
First walkabout with the new toy. This is 5 shots merged in Photomatix Pro from two sets of 1 stop bracketed frames.
But my apologies to any purists cos' then I've messed about with the image in a bunch of other software. Although I have spared you the InfraRed treatment :D
