Just an example of the Leica lens standards. This 35mm Elmarit R lens still beats most of today’s top lenses. Just manual operation, but great results. And a certain glow one cannot describe by physical measurements today. A historic lens item which is worth keeping. But get away with the Leica myth, please. Only some few lenses are that exceptional. Many are not worth the high amounts of money – my personal opinion from the field work. Finally, the photographer creates the picture, and then comes the lens – and the body last (exchangeable, high tech fast turnover, now).

The area is so tranquil and beautiful. A private investment group bought the whole area and let it put under national preserve. So it is protected against any commercial use. This is money linked with responsibility.
