The second day with my new Tamron. The hummer on the carpark sign was out there again this morning, and I think I finally figured out what he was up to...I say "he" with confidence cos this wee guy was a' courtin' for a new lady love. Yup, attracting a wife was what he was doing alright, with our lil buddy chirping n' dive-bombing for all he was worth while his potential wife sat in a tree just yards away. She seemed rather unimpressed with his amorous displays but God love him, he kept trying 'til the gardeners next door finally scared them both off.

One of my first shots with my new Tammie and yeah it's that same little hummer on that same little street sign round the back of my home. I don't know how long hummingbirds live but this wee guy has staked out this sign as part of his territory over the past three years. He doesn't seem to mind me taking his picture...in fact he watches me intensely while I'm snapping away and doesn't seem all that bothered about it. Cute, ain't he?

Another shot with my new Tammie. As said before I've taken quite a few pictures of this brave lil fella during the past couple of years...he always parks his feathery posterior on top of this particular sign and proceeds to watch what I'm doing while I take my shots..I think he actually enjoys the attention!
