I am finding these samples to be extremely disappointing. These pictures are barely any better than the tiny sensors, and no better at all than 1/1.17". I've produced sharper images with my old Nikon P7000 (which I no longer own).
I don't get the marketing hype about this xtrans2 producing sharper images because there is no anti-aliasing filter. They may be sharper when comparing with an xtrans that has an olpf in front of it, but they are certainly NOT as good as a bayer pattern. I think the large square of green in the middle of the pattern is the cause of this problem.
In theory they got rid of aliasing, but they replaced that with the problem of poor sharpness. Contrast isn't that good either, in this picture series. Quite poor actually.
Still: I suppose that if you can't afford an RX100ii, this could be an affordable alternate choice.
