In Osaka till 25 Oct 13 and have insurance money for new camera and wish to upgrade from a great Pentax K20D. Must last for next 5 years.
Hard choice between OMD EM1 and Ｎｉｋｏｎ D610 FF. EM1 sold in kit with 12-40 f2.8 with a nice 40-150 being released next year. I assume the EM1 will use other Olympus OMD lenses? Would take the D610 for the FF benefits if were not so heavy as kit and getting cramped arm from long event shoots.
MAIN PHOTOGRAPHY= water sports, capturing emotional connection at events, arty landscape/ botanic shotｓ．Ｔｈｅ ｎｅｘｔ ｆｒｏｎｔｉｅｒ ｉｓ surf and ｗａｔｅr and Olympus does a (comparatively) reasonably priced water housing.
Just attended Wildlife Photographer of Year in London - Canon EOS used almost everywhere, but one impressive underwater of a whale shot with OMD.
