No need to redo reputation of the Sony 24.3 mpix sensor one can find in the A65 and A77. But the top of quality in this sensor can only be found in the NEX-7. That little beauty finds only it's equal in cameras like the A900 or D3X. Sony's sensors get better and better. Just wait now for the new Leica full-frame and see what sensor they will use. Dalsa Kodak is down and only Sony has what they need. So the M10 will take the 36 from the D800? Let's wait and see. The D3200 make good shots, but as the A65 and A77, it remains a short step behind the NEX-7. The mirror is the intruder in that game and NEX cameras take advantage due to that part being missing.

Looks good, the skin tones look great, but I still want to see the RAW images. It *should* be stunning at the price.

This is impressive.
Compare this to the canon 5dm3 iso 4000 sample and this has so much more detail and less noise. This is gonna sell well.

This looks fantastic for ISO 3200, indeed.

But I think that what you're calling "sensor outresolving the lens" is more like mushiness from the camera's noise reduction...

Tell the model to take his X-Pro1 out of Auto mode. He looks like Ken Rockwell. J/K

Good to see how far entry level cameras have come. I think everyone should stop worrying so much about high ISO performance these days. We're there.

For an entry level DX format sensor this clarity @3200 is outstanding!

is this ISO 3200 or 320? noise is too low here

3200 looks great. But a way better lens is needed.

sensor clearly outresolving the lens here. Still obscene amounts of detail!

So you can see the lens is bad?

Not bad for ISO3200 on a 24MP DX sensor :) . Not bad at all, IMHO.
