These don't mean anything to me unless I can see 100% on an uncorrected image. They look good. I take a lot of low light images with my 5DMkII. I usually need PP noise reduction at ISO 800, in shadows. So I tend to limit myself to nothing higher than that ISO. If I can really now shoot at 1600 or 3200.... That would be really cool. But I cannot tell from these shots what I would get as I assume there is in-camera jpeg noise reduction going on.

Well, if you actually read the "summary & samples", it said "We've had a chance to prepare a set of full-resolution studio-based samples from a pre-production Canon EOS 5D Mark III, at all available ISOs from 50 to 102800; these are out-of-camera JPEGs at default settings." So if you saying that you cannot trust what the reviewer said, then what are you doing here?

What is the origin of these images? Shot raw or shot jpg?

I want to know what a raw without noise reduction looks like.

Shame you can't zoom in to 100%. But it looks like 1.5-2.0 stops advantage over the 12MP of a D700, so I'm impressed!

If the D800 is as good when downsampled, I think I'll go for it, even though my D700 is still a perfect camera.

This is studio image. More interesting to see 5Dmk3 in real life.
D800 - http://4.s.img-dpreview.com/files/articles/6015410449/DSC_4456.JPG?v=1381 do not impressive for me.

first thing i thought was: really good, i´m surprised to see that, because the samples from the canon website tell a different story. but then i zoomed in and saw the horrible noise reduction mud :(
