I wouldn't have used the EXR mode for this- its looking a bit gritty, but ok for what it is. I'd buy the camera. Incidentally I like the EXR thing, using it on a Fuji EXR550 and snow photography is very good, much better than some lower end Nikons

Well, this is what we've been waiting for -photographically at least- for many years. I'm still using the next best camera, the F30, but the X10 really tops it...
Pixelpeepels will always look for technical details to critizise, but this kind of bokeh, tonal scale and overall impression is what finally brings us back to what photography should be about. Velvia tones are nice too look at even for portraits (others may select a more neutral tone setting). And with the optical viewfinder as a worthwhile addition, this is as close as we can get to the heydays of meterig cameras defeating SLR's. PS Sony's NEX7 promises the same feat, but is much larger to carry and far less well equipped as far as lense go.

Does look good for ISO 800, but note it is in 6MP pixel-binning mode (which based on this shot seems to work very nicely!).
