Would you think of calling a 45 mm lens on a full frame DSLR - a "portrait lens" ?? This is the same optics, just cropped. On the other hand you may like BIG noses ans small ears...

I can't believe people still haven't learned that focal lenght makes no difference - it's the framing and distance to subject.

45mm on 43rds gives approximately the same angle of view (diagonal) as 90mm on FF camera, but since the lens is shorter, it has more depth of field.

Otherwise, it's completely the same - shooting a portrait from 2m with 90mm + FF camera or 45mm + 43rds camera - the framing will be very similar.

Correct. But it is amazing the number of people that don't understand that!
Perspective is determined by distance-to-subject, not by FD of lens.
