1/2 way up the trail, the nice moist dirt trail ends and the snow begins on season with a record snow-pack. 3 miles to go; the terrain is about 95% covered by snow, with a 2,500ft climb that includes a 1,500ft 30-45 degree hill mixed with sand and snow between you and your Peak that you want to Bag? No Problem, Right? Just be sure to get a good picture at the top like this one that validates you as a Hardcore Hiker who doesn't let steep mountains covered in Snow stop you from accomplishing what you set out to do. Oh, Ya this is me atop of Sawtooth Peak in Sequoia National Park near Mineral King.
