Puple Gallinule in the Everglades (Porphyrio martinicus)
Purple Gallinule in the Everglades on Anhinga Trail, a fairly public location. This is one of the birds I have a hard time finding. They are so darned secretive to me. Porphyrio martinicus is a "swamp hen" in the rail family Rallidae.
