Easaval Rising, South Uist
On a day of great quiet, a sheep stands as if listening to the stillness; where is a solitary singing shepherdess, "Breaking the silence of the seas, Among the farthest Hebrides".*...?!! Taken near the southern tip of South Uist, Outer Hebrides. Easaval rises in the background. (After the style of many photos in HV Morton's travel books, including Scotland, of the late 1920's and 1930's.)
