Taking a break in the heat of the day, this dragonfly with its turquoise blue colouring sat rested on a night lilly, just waiting for me to capture the scene, using a macro lens to gain maximum detail.

This dragonfly took a few seconds out from finding a partner to rest its wings, and I quickly moved in to take the shot. Having the blurry green background helps highlight the golden colours of our patient model.
