The first stop on our safari in 2008 was at Chui Lodge, located in the Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary close to Lake Naivasha. The Sanctuary is famous for its leopards and stretches down from the hills below Hellsgate National Park tothe shores of Lake Oloidien, a small natron lake, where you can book early morning walking safaris ending with a picknick breakfast. The lodge is small but beautifull and offers the best food i ever enjoyed on the african continent. Unfortunately staying there is rather expensive ... but worth every shilling, even if you do not spot a leopard.

In 2008 we spent a whole week in the Masai Mara, starting at the Mara Bush Camp (near Mara Intrepids) in the Transmara, a perfect place to look for big cats and the migration. For the last 3 days we moved to Kichwa Tembo in the Mara Triangle area on the other side of the Mara river. This camp has one of the best views of the Mara, it is worth spending an afternoon at the poos and watch the wildlife passing by while enjoying the skies and the landscape.
The weather was rather disapointing, with rain and thunderstorms every day but we were recvarded with some nice photo ops nevertheless.

I wanted to know if the improved AF of the PEN E-P3 makes it usable for shooting action and sports. As you can see here, it is very well possible and the number of correctly focused pics was a nice surprise.
My conclusion: S-AF is very fast, C-AF is now usable, the only limitation is a missing fast zoom lens, like a 12-50 2.8/4. Nevertheless i still prefer to go there with a DSLR with optical viewfinder (no blackout), fast FPS, big buffer, good tracking AF and !!! cam and lenses need to be at least splash proff because its wet out there.
All pics are JPGs, most of them slightly cropped and some with blown out highlights fixed in LR. Exported from LR with default sharpening.

My first studio session with the E-M5 was quite a shock, my models behaved strangelyand some of them got really aggressive, when i told them, i'd be shooting with a m43 sensor exclusively.
