I was supposed to shoot this billy in shutter priority mode at 1/500 second since my 70-300mm lens was unstabilized but he was in an agitated mood and was making faces at me so I snapped a shot off-hand to capture his facial expression. I found out later that the camera was in aperture priority and selected a speed of only 1/60 second, way below the recommended minimum speed of 1/450 second for a handheld unstabilized 300 mm lens on a 1.5 crop factor body. Surprisingly, the resulting image was still very sharp without a sign of handheld blur and I captured the goat's facial expression perfectly. The shot was JPEG with no post-processing except resizing to a smaller size to facilitate uploading to dpreview.com.
