On May 20, 2012 visited Canyonlands National Park and then drove to Cedar Breaks National Monument for the Annular Solar Eclipse

Compared D800 using Bigma at 300mm vs Nex7 with Tamron 18-200mm at 200mm. No real difference in IQ except a factor of 6 less weight for the Nex combo.

Compared Sigma 24-70 to Nikon 16-35 on the short end and Nikon 70-200mm on the long end.

This is a test of the D800E for walk-around at Las Vegas CityCenter. Most shots with Nikon 16-35mm f4 at 16mm. The first few with Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 HSM which is sharper than the Nikon in the overlapping range. ISO varied from 500 to 3000 as required. I carried the 2nd lens in my pocket. Pictures processed in Lightroom 4.1 and downsized to 2000 on longest side.
