The Mick
By The Mick (Nov 18, 2012)

Here's my macro setup (front view). Showing the curved, wrap around bounce card. I made the inside white to help with lighting and the ouside black to match the rest of the camera. The material used is 3mm thick foam core purchased at Michael's (craft store). The foam core is sold in 12" x 18" sheets for $0.99. I made a template from cardstock, then traced it out onto the foam core and cut it out with a razor knife. I made the black outer portion roughly 1/4" larger all around than the inner white portion. The two were adhered with spray adhesive and pressed together and cured for a few hours. I got the basic idea from a guy on youtube who makes and sells a product called A Better Bounce Card. He's a wedding photographer, not a bug man, so I guess it's a multipurpose tool. ;o) I measured my Speedlite and made up the rest as I went, but laid it out in template form to keep both sides consistent. Maybe this will be useful to someone. Thanks for looking!
