My RX-100 seems to have poor low light sensitivity, and I was unable to bring back image details with manual over exposure. Side by side comparisons with my old compact, a Powershot SD950, showed that in every scenario, my RX-100 was picking up less (no) details at night, with extreme noise and color shift. Manually upping the exposure did reveal a more typical night shot, but was uselessly blurry without a tripod.
