A Extraordinary Fishing Experience [8 pics / Heavy Post]
Mar 5, 2004

Hello friends!

Today the weather was absolutely marvelous! Clear blue sky and very sunny. So, I called my friend Magnus and asked if he and his family would like to meet me and my family down by the frozen lake today to socialize and to do some fishing. They agreed on that!

Now, Magnus doesn't fish very often! Infact he has never fished from the ice before and I tell ya - watching him drilling his very first hole ever was.... well, let's just say AMUSING!

When he FINALY was done, I lend him a fishingrod, rigged and ready. I gave him some "how to" and he got right on to it. I could tell from the look on his face that he felt sorta skeptic:

http://elfving73.instantlogic.com/Images/Photos/ {33932C6B-DF5B-4FC3-A36D-A9E34EA7EF88} {F7B5AECA-5BD1-4217-9C24-75E9610B74CF}.jpg

STRIKE! Well! Well! What do ya know - the famous "Beginners' luck" didn't fail to come to Magnus! All of a sudden, that dejected look on his face was transformed into a exhilarated and very expectant (although a bit silly) smile:

http://elfving73.instantlogic.com/Images/Photos/ {33932C6B-DF5B-4FC3-A36D-A9E34EA7EF88} {96380633-B47D-4EB9-B55F-DCAA5D45E0C9}.JPG

In a pedagogic (low and relaxed) voice I instructed him to calm down. Don't get to excited and eager or your fishing line will snatch. You wouldn't want to loose your first fish, would ya?

http://elfving73.instantlogic.com/Images/Photos/ {33932C6B-DF5B-4FC3-A36D-A9E34EA7EF88} {A1849CDE-4A85-4C35-A483-EA4B27A2E251}.JPG

Magnus was an exellent apprentice and he never questioned my guidance. Instead he listened carefully to my instructions - and it payed off. Approximately 20 minutes later the tough battle was over, and the benefits was on Magnus side. Judge by our surprise! Not only did he catch a fish within a few minutes of fishing for the very first time - he had also caught the rarely seen (by many assumed extinct) Artic Sea Dog. (Lat. Sausage Artica)

The fisherman and his pray! What a beautiful site! I've known this bloke for years and I tell ya - this kind of unrestrained proudness has never glistned in his eyes with this intensivety before.

During the day we caught another 10 fishes, but exclusively the more common "Spotty Dog Perch" (Lat. Machado Carnem Perca). What could be a better way to end a perfect fishingday like this than to munch some ultrafresh catch. In my backpack I had a disposable outdoor grill, bread, ketchup and some lemonade. Then we sat down for a while, all 6 of us and digged in! (But two of us had to get stick to milk!)

Nothing can compare to the feeling of eating something you have caught yourself - especially if you clean it, cook it and eat it right away, at the "scene of the crime".

STRIKE! Well! Well! What do ya know - the famous "Beginners' luck"
didn't fail to come to Magnus! All of a sudden, that dejected look
on his face was transformed into a exhilarated and very expectant
(although a bit silly) smile:

http://elfving73.instantlogic.com/Images/Photos/ {33932C6B-DF5B-4FC3-A36D-A9E34EA7EF88} {96380633-B47D-4EB9-B55F-DCAA5D45E0C9}.JPG

In a pedagogic (low and relaxed) voice I instructed him to calm
down. Don't get to excited and eager or your fishing line will
snatch. You wouldn't want to loose your first fish, would ya?

http://elfving73.instantlogic.com/Images/Photos/ {33932C6B-DF5B-4FC3-A36D-A9E34EA7EF88} {A1849CDE-4A85-4C35-A483-EA4B27A2E251}.JPG

Magnus was an exellent apprentice and he never questioned my
guidance. Instead he listened carefully to my instructions - and it
payed off. Approximately 20 minutes later the tough battle was
over, and the benefits was on Magnus side. Judge by our surprise!
Not only did he catch a fish within a few minutes of fishing for
the very first time - he had also caught the rarely seen (by many
assumed extinct) Artic Sea Dog. (Lat. Sausage Artica)

The fisherman and his pray! What a beautiful site! I've known this
bloke for years and I tell ya - this kind of unrestrained proudness
has never glistned in his eyes with this intensivety before.

During the day we caught another 10 fishes, but exclusively the
more common "Spotty Dog Perch" (Lat. Machado Carnem Perca). What
could be a better way to end a perfect fishingday like this than to
munch some ultrafresh catch. In my backpack I had a disposable
outdoor grill, bread, ketchup and some lemonade. Then we sat down
for a while, all 6 of us and digged in! (But two of us had to get
stick to milk!)
